(Aahh, look at all the lonely people)
[Edgar Allan Poe]
From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
(All the lonely people)
As others saw; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
[Lady Poetic]
Melancholy binds me, shamans prophesized me
Purple lightning blinds me, written words jeopardize me
Find me in the deepest valley on the midnight riding
Revered as it nears, the steepest cliffs siding
With the thrashing of the wind, the raven only knows
And tells not a soul, freeing me from my repose
And the prose had enclosed only what I could disclose
To focus on the closest moment, or what I'd suppose
Lady Poe and Mr. Poe wine and dine with Eleanor
Cheers to all that's coming near and what was once before
So appears said the moon as it sears the midnight's moors
Forcing us to flee as we implore the mountain's lore
Adorned in garments sewn by peasants, scented by the sage
Grown by morning's gentle breath and sunlight's subtle gaze
Grasping onto papers, armed with nightfall's labyrinthed maze
I slipped upon the beating march and watched you turn the page
(All the lonely people)
[Edgar Allan Poe]
I could not bring my passions
from a common spring.
From the same source
I have not taken my sorrow;
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
[Lady Poetic]
Still the chill resonating down my spine, intertwined
Blessed be the sinner, who could win her, heart, sound in mind
Mindful of the glowing embers, presented by eagle's eyes
Sharper than than the twisted tongues, exhalted in this final prime
Crunching of the leaves, bronzed and red beneath the hooves
Of mares who dare to enter lairs with graceful, silent moves
Brooding over possibilities though misconstrued
Mystery itself reveals in time, in layered grooves
Wooed by autumn's golden kiss and moonlight's blazing stare
Passion glowed as diamonds in a veil of frozen air
Blanketing the earth in tones of silver, perfect, pale and bare
Sorrow sought itself within me, times which couldn't be there
Fair like maidens, milk and honey, Land of Faraway
Cast like shades of weeping willows, tranquil in it's sway
Beyond the grave, periphery of demons caught my eye
Clouds shall part, upon display – Sir Poe, Eleanor and I
(All the lonely people)
[Edgar Allan Poe]
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
When the rest of Heaven was blue
Of a demon in my view.
